The reasons I’m conflicted

Location is a game-changer, with Vondelpark just steps away! The friendly staff truly made my stay enjoyable, always ready to help with a smile! !

Unfortunately, the rooms could have used better upkeep as issues like a strong sewage smell detracted from my comfort. Noise from the street also made it hard to relax.

The historic building charm was a delightful feature.

Our stay was fraught with issues. The heating in our room was not working, making for a freezing night that left us shivering until we received extra blankets. The receptionist was dismissive when we sought help, and even the elevator that worked on our first day broke down, forcing us to carry heavy luggage up the steep stairs. Sadly, the lack of proper maintenance was evident throughout our stay.

The ceiling leaked after rain while the cozy bedding provided comfort.

my stay was a breath of fresh air compared to my last visit in amsterdam. the location near vondelpark was perfect for walks, and i loved the kind and helpful staff. the room had a lovely big window overlooking the park, which made it extra cozy.

Cozy room, clean facilities, the location was exceptional with nearby cafés and easy access to public transport options, making it an excellent base for exploring the area more conveniently.

I loved the cozy setup with comfortable beds and the thoughtful touch of fresh fruit in the room. breakfast was pleasant, but the small shower could use better amenities. I'd definitely go back!

Wi-fi was solid, but the lift was out during my stay, making it tough with luggage.

The room was clean and comfy with nice bedding, perfect for a good night's sleep. The shower had strong water pressure and plenty of hot water, which was great after a day of exploring. It wasn't the biggest room, but it was cozy enough. The walls could use some brightening up, though. a solid experience, just a few little things that could be touched up.

The charming historic building added to the inviting atmosphere, complemented by the hotel's proximity to Vondelpark, which was perfect for leisurely walks. The cozy decor made for a delightful and comfortable stay during my visit.

Front steps could be challenging for seniors.

The room was good and well-kept, the staff were welcoming and funny! 😂 Breakfast was plentiful—cereals, croissants, eggs, and more. it had everything needed to kickstart our day! The location was excellent, providing easy access to public transport! 🚍

The room was a bit cramped, and having no full-length mirror was slightly inconvenient.

Access to Vondelpark is immediate, perfect for morning strolls or a quick jog. The hotel is housed in a charming historic building, adding a unique character to the stay, far from your ordinary accommodations.

Many rooms are cramped with low ceilings, making it hard to stand upright in the shower since the cramped bathrooms often come with annoyingly small showers that have shabby shower curtains. Noise levels can be bothersome as well, especially if your room is near the street, potentially disrupting a peaceful night’s sleep. there were complaints about cleanliness standards with dust and unmade beds, and in some cases, poor shower drainage added to the inconvenience. Expect limited reception hours as well, which can leave guests in a bind if something comes up outside of those times.

will definitely go back there again

The location is ideal, right next to Vondelpark and major museums. The room had a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and a comfy bed. Shower had good pressure and hot water. I appreciated the free tea and coffee. Definitely enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the helpful staff who offered local tips.
